We did not see this coming but Bayern Munich is on a losing streak in the Bundesliga.
Bayern suffered a consecutive league defeat after a shocking 3-0 defeat at home to an in-form Borussia Monchengladbach. The result made it a run of 4 winless games for Bayern in all competition and brought questions about the ability of the team to handle the task ahead. Will Bayern Munich title winning streak end at 6 or will they get their acts together, as usual, to win their 7th in a row by the end of the season.

League top scorer Paco Alcacer is enjoying his football with Borussia Dortmund. His contribution in goals has helped his side to remain top of the league table after 7 games. Dortmund is the only unbeaten side in the league and is 3 points clear at the top of the standings after a thrilling win in a 7-goal match at home against Augsburg. Alcacer scored a hattrick that included the important winning goal deep into added time to see Dortmund seal 3 points with a ‘4-3’ win.

Timo Werner failed to convert from the spot to complete a hat-trick against Nurnberg in RB Leipzig’s comfortable 6-0 home victory. RB Leipzig’s 4-1 defeat to Borussia Dortmund on August 26, 2018, is the difference maker at the top of the Bundesliga standings at the moment.

A ‘2-0’ away victory against Fortuna Dusseldorf helped Schalke 04 to make it consecutive league victories and 3 straight wins in all competitions.

Hertha Berlin goes from beating Bayern Munich to settling for a point away against Mainz after a goalless draw.
