Midway point in the season and Dortmund goes into the winter break 6 points clear at the top of the German Bundesliga.
Borussia Dortmund kicked off the round with a win at home against Borussia Monchengladbach. Marco Reus scored the winning goal to allow Dortmund to open a 9-point gap between the two sides.

Bayern Munich replaced Monchengladbach as second in the league by securing 3 points at Frankfurt. Franck Ribery’s goals allowed Bayern Munich to take the maximum advantage of the ‘Dortmund v Monchengladbach’ result.

After fighting back from two goals down to get level, Weder Bremen suffered defeat at Leipzig.

Bruma’s late goal allowed RB Leipzig to bounce back from midweek defeat to Bayern.

Schalke finds victory at Stuttgart.

While recently-promoted Fortuna Dusseldorf made it three wins in a row by beating Hannover 96, Nurnberg is stuck at the bottom of the standings after a defeat at home to Freiburg.

Augsburg attempt to secure maximum points at home after coming from 2 goals down, ended up costing them when Wolfsburg regain the lead from a counter attack.

And in the final match of the round, Mainz held on to a ‘1-1’ draw to get a point away against Hoffenheim.

Hoffenheim vs Bayern Munich will kick-start the return of the German Bundesliga on January 18, 2018.
