Eden Hazard was the star of the show as he scored a hattrick to help Chelsea bounce from a goal down to win comfortably at home against newly-promoted Cardiff City, while Liverpool extended their perfect start to the season after beating Tottenham at Wembley. Tottenham has suffered a consecutive ‘2-1’ defeat to teams that were undefeated in the league.

Burnley stayed at the bottom of the table after defeating to Wolverhampton, while West Ham United moved out of the relegations zone after a ‘3-1’ victory at the Goodison Park.

In the final match of the round, a late penalty allowed Brighton & Hove Albion to complete a comeback from 2 goals down to seal a draw away against Southampton.
