Newly promoted Hannover 96 handed Borussia Dortmund a ‘4-2’ defeat to kick them from the top of the standings. Dortmund dropped important points in consecutive league matches to allow Bayern Munich to climb to the top of the Bundesliga standings through a ‘2-0’  home victory over RB Leipzig.

Bayern Munich is three points clear at the top of the league standings. A perfect position to be as their next opponent in the league is going to be second-placed Borussia Dortmund, a perfect setting for Der Klassiker.

After losing at home to Bayern Munich in the DFB Pokal, RB Leipzig failed return favor when they visited the Allianz Arena for their 10th match of the 2017/18 Bundesliga season. The match ended once again with Bayern as winners and RB Leipzig with a man sent off on a red card.

With Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang failing to get on the score sheet in this round, Robert Lewandowski’s insurance goal for Bayern Munich tied the two strikers at 10-goals each as top goalscorers.

FC Koln and Werder Bremen continue to remain winless after 10 matches into the season.
