Manchester City is 8 points clear at the top of the league while the closest chasing pack are tripping over each other to catch up. Manchester City continued their undefeated start to the season by sending Arsenal back home with a 3-1 defeat.

Stamford bridge continues to haunt Manchester United after they took their second defeat of the season. Alvaro Morata scored the only goal of the match for Chelsea to take a victory over Manchester United and over just a point away from them in the league standings. The result gave way for Tottenham Hotspurs to tied Manchester United on points after Heung-Min Son’s second-half winning goal gave Tottenham a victory over a Crystal Palace team that is trying to rediscover their mojo.

A late injury-time penalty miss by Tom Cleverley denied Watford a chance to tie the game and take a point at Goodison Park. Everton took a deserved home victory against Watford after coming from 2 goals down to score three.

Newcastle gave up a late goal at home when a counter-attacking attempt failed and allowed AFC Bournemouth to take all three points with a late goal. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain scored his first league goal for Liverpool in their away thrashing of West Ham; Mohamed Salah contributed two goals to Liverpool’s victory.

Despite not getting on the score sheet, Tottenham’s Harry Kane is still joint top -goalscorer with Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero.
