The 2017/18 UEFA Champions League semi-finalist
Real Madrid is still on for a ‘3peat’
Liverpool is looking like a ‘dark horse;
Bayern Munich is ‘potent’
Roma might be the ‘uninvited guest’

When the quarter-final draw was made, Barcelona and Manchester City were favorites and then football did what it usually does by giving us shocker. Roma overturned a ‘4-1’ away defeat at the Camp Nou to eliminated Barcelona from the UEFA Champions League while Liverpool was handing Manchester City a consecutive home defeat to knock them out of the competition.

Juventus did their best to overturn a ‘3-0’ home defeat. A late penalty was converted by Cristiano Ronaldo to stop Juventus from overturning a ‘3-0’ first leg defeat. Gianluigi Buffon’s disapproval for the late penalty call on his team ended up with him being sent off on a red card.

Bayern Munich advanced to the semi-final after playing out a goalless draw at home against Sevilla.
