Levante helped themselves against the threat of relegation after picking up a win against Getafe. Espanyol climbed above Real Sociedad in the league standings after coming from a goal down to win ‘2-1’ in their meeting.

Atletico Madrid maintains the 8-point gap between themselves and top of the league after beating Celta Vigo, while Villarreal closes in on Sevilla for the direct ticket to the Europa League.
