4+ goals – The top three clubs in the league standings were big winners in the 25th round of the 2017/18 Spanish La Liga season.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 300th La Liga goal.
It took some time for Real Madrid to get started in their home game against Alaves, but once Cristiano Ronaldo opened the scoring late in the first-half, it was all Madrid in the second-half. Ronaldo scored a brace as Real Madrid went on to win convincingly.

27 win + 5 draws = 32 matches unbeaten – FC Barcelona remains top of the league after setting a new club record.
Barcelona knew Madrid had won their match by 4-goals and decided to do better by overcoming an early scare and moving on to beat Girona by a 5-goal margin. Girona took an early lead with their first chance on goal, which was canceled just minutes later when Luis Suarez scored Barcelona’s opener and the first of three. Lionel Messi scored two goals to take his tally to 22 as top goalscorer. Suarez’s hat-trick and Messi’s brace makes them the only two players in the league with 20+ goals.

Valencia defeated Real Sociedad after Santi Mina reinstated his first-half goal advantage in the 68th-minute.

Antoine Griezmann contributed a hat-trick in Atletico Madrid’s ‘5-2’ away victory over Sevilla. With Villarreal victory over Getafe, the result dragged Sevilla to 6th place in the league

Leganes end their losing run with a point against Las Palmas.

Celta Vigo defeated Eibar to match them in points accumulated over the season while leaping over them in the league standings with their superior goal-difference.
