2017/18 Spanish La Liga – Round 19 – Real Madrid slips again while Barcelona bounces back to stay undefeated
Barcelona came from 2 goals down to beat Real Sociedad away and became the only team in the top leagues in Europe to remain undefeated. Luis Suarez scored a brace to propel Barcelona to another league victory. Lionel Messi added another goal to his league total and remained top scorer with 17 goals.
Villarreal went to the Santiago Bernabeu and defeated Real Madrid. The result meant Madrid has managed to pick up a point in their last three league matches.
Recently-promoted Girona wiped the floor with bottom-table Las Palmas, Sevilla was kept out of the ‘top 5’ after losing away to Alaves. Kevin Gameiro got a goal for Atletico Madrid to maintain the point-gap at the top of the league table with Barcelona.
