With a match to spare, Juventus won their 7th consecutive league title after a goalless draw with Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.
The teams in the top four teams have virtually secured their place in next season’s UEFA Champions League. It is improbable that Inter Milan will be able to put any pressure on the ‘top four’ after falling at home to Sassuolo. Both Roma and Lazio accumulated a point each to keep their direct qualification to the Champions League.
Crotone and SPAL fall closer to the drop zone after being the only relegation-threatened sides to not pick up maximum points in this round.
Cagliari, Udinese, and Chievo Verona picked up a victory each to help in their relegation battles.
Crotone could only manage a point at home to Lazio, and SPAL was defeated in Turin
