2017/18 Italian Serie A – Round 18 – Inter Milan slips again.
Halfway through the season and all the newly-promoted teams are in the relegation battle.
Inter Milan went from being undefeated in the league to a consecutive league defeat after a ‘1-0’ away defeat to Sassuolo.
The success of the other two teams in the top end of the league table saw Inter Milan drop further from the top. Napoli remained at the top of the table by scoring the majority of the 5 first-half goals to beat Sampdoria. Marek Hamsik scored the winning goal in Napoli’s victory to make himself the all-time top scorer for the club, beating Deigo Maradona’s 115 goal record.
Mehdi Benatia’s first-half goal was all Juventus need to beat Roma and stay on the tail of Napoli.
AC Milan continues to fail in achieving their pre-season expectation after another defeat.
