Juventus went to Naples to hand Napoli their first league defeat and knocked them off the top of the table after Inter Milan took advantage of the result and placed 5 goals past Chievo Verona to pick up a victory and rise to the top of the league table. The victory puts Juventus back in the title race to defend their title.
Juventus will have the opportunity to deliver the first defeat to another undefeated side in their next league fixture. The next contender for Juventus will be the final undefeated side in the league, Inter Milan.
A late goal allowed Lazio to pick up the maximum points away at Sampdoria, while another late goal Benevento got an improbable draw at home against AC Milan when goalkeeper Alberto Brignoli came out of his post to head in the point-saving goal from a freekick for his side.
