It was a 6th straight title-winning season for Bayern Munich after coming from a goal down to convincingly beat Augsburg.

We can now spend the last 5 league matches focused on the relegation-battle and the quest for teams to secure a direct qualification to next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Thorgan Hazard’s second-half brace helped Borussia Monchengladbach to come from a goal down to beat Hertha Berlin. The ‘2-1’ victory allowed Monchengladbach to open a 4-point gap in the league standings between the two teams.

Hannover 96 beats Werder Bremen to reduce the gap between them to a point.
Wolfsburg pulled a point away from the relegation battle by obtaining an import away victory against Freiburg.

Despite being first to concede a goal in this match, relegation-zoned Hamburger SV secured a 5th victory in the league by handing a defeat to 2nd-placed Schalke 04. It was the first victory in the league for Hamburger SV since November 26, 2017, against Hoffenheim.

Borussia Dortmund took full advantage of Schalke’s failure to secure any point from the round by taking a ‘3-0’ victory against Stuttgart to move a point away from Schalke in the race for second place in the league.

Hoffenheim held on to a point to stop Eintracht Frankfurt from widening the gap in the league standings between the two sides.

None of the bottom four teams in the league standings suffered a defeat in this round.

In the final match of the round. RB Leipzig failed to use home advantage to get into a champions league qualification spot. Bayer Leverkusen did themselves a huge favor and lept into the top four after coming from a goal down to win by three against RB Leipzig.
