2017/18 German Bundesliga – Round 24 – Bayern Munich dropped points but no one could close the gap.

After each got a goal in the first half, Mainz 05 and Wolfsburg remained relegation-threatened after a goalless second-half.

Bayern maintained the 19-point gap at the top of the league table despite dropping points in the 24th round of the 2017/18 season.

Recently-promoted Stuttgart protected an early goal to hand Eintracht Frankfurt a shocking defeat, denying Frankfurt an opportunity to move up to second place in the league standings and opened them to drop from third place

Werder Bremen moved further away in points and kept Hamburger SV deep in the relegation battle when a late scuffle on the goal line ended up giving Werder Bremen the winning goal against Hamburger SV.

FC Koln did a favor for Schalke 04, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Bayer Leverkusen when they came from a goal down to beat RB Leipzig by 2 goals to 1. The result allowed Koln to equal points with relegation mate Hamburger SV, while denying RB Leipzig the chance to finish the round in the 2nd place position.

Schalke 04 moved to third place A ‘2-0’ victory at Leverkusen allowed Schalke 04 to climb to third place.

In the final match of the round, Borussia Dortmund lost their first-half lead to settle for a point at home against Augsburg. The result denied Dortmund the reduce the gap in points at the top of the league, and allowed Augsburg to avoid a third consecutive league defeat.
