Robert Lewandowski scored a late penalty to amend Arjen Robben’s missed penalty early in the second half for Bayern to bounce from an early goal down to seal their 10th consecutive league victory. Bayern Munich has won all competitive matches since their league defeat to Borussia Monchengladbach in Round 13 (November 25, 2017). Lewandowski late winner added another goal to his tally (20) as the league top scorer.

Borussia Dortmund remains undefeated in 2018 and continued their winning streak since the arrival of Michy Batshuayi. Marco Reus scored the only goal of the match to give Dortmund a ‘1-0’ away victory against a Borussia Monchengladbach side had suffered consecutive defeats by the same margin.

In the opening match of the round, Robin Quaison scored a brace for relegation-threatened Mainz 05 to have success away against Hertha Berlin.

Schalke 04 returned to wins and Hoffenheim returned to defeat when the two sides met.

In the final match of the round, a ‘2-1’ victory for Eintracht Frankfurt against RB Leipzig allowed Frankfurt to climb to 3rd and dragged RB Leipzig out of the top four in the league standings.
