Michy Batshuayi was once again instrumental in Borussia Dortmund’s victory, as his team remains unbeaten in the calendar year.

With RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt picking up maximum points from their matches, Bayer Leverkusen was knocked out of 2nd place after a home defeat to Hertha Berlin.

A brace from Hoffenheim’s Adam Szalai and Andy Kramaric kept Mainz 05 in the relegation battle after a 6-goal thriller that ended a 4-2 victory to a Hoffenheim side that was looking to put an end to a streak of 5 winless league games that included 3 straight defeats.

A goal in each half allowed Hannover doubled the point-gap between themselves and Freiburg with their first win in three matches.

Schalke failed to make the title race more competitive as Bayern Munich completed another Bundesliga match on the winning side of the score. Bayern Munich remains 18-points clear at the top of the table. Robert Lewandowski scored the opening goal to extend his goals scored in the season to 19.
