Eintracht Frankfurt completed the objective by grabbing a victory at home over Borussia Monchengladbach. It was a victory that allowed Frankfurt to stay in the top four and also open a three-point gap between themselves and Monchengladbach.

Bayern Munich is 24 points clear at the top, and the only team after 20 rounds of the 2017/18 season to record a double-digit number of wins.
Bayern Munich showed the traits of champions when they reset to come from two goals down to win by three goals and pick up three points at home against a Hoffenheim team that has now gone on 4 league matches without a victory, losing 3 matches.

Robert Lewandowski got on the score sheet in Bayern’s victory. The goal took his tally to 18 league goals as top scorer.

Bayer Leverkusen stayed the second best team in the league after a victory against Mainz 05.

The teams occupying the relegation/relegation(threatened) zones came out from Round 20 with a point each. Bottom of the table FC Koln played out a 1-1 draw with Augsburg after giving up on the lead. Hamburger SV came from behind to pick up a point at Leipzig, kicking RB Leipzig out of the top four, and Werder Bremen was involved in a goalless affair with Hertha Berlin.
