Bayer Leverkusen stayed the second best team in the league after a victory against Mainz 05.

Hamburger SV came from behind to pick up a point at Leipzig, kicking RB Leipzig out of the top four, and Werder Bremen was involved in a goalless affair with Hertha Berlin.
