French Ligue1

2017/18 French Ligue 1 – Round 35 – Monaco ending their season on a bad note.

Who is getting a direct qualification to the champions league with Paris St. Germain?
Lyon climbed to second place after handing Nantes a ‘2-0’ defeat, while Monaco at risk of losing out on playing Champions League football next season after a goalless with Amiens saw them drop from 2nd to 3rd in the league standings.
Monaco was fortunate that Marseille couldn’t hold on to their lead against Angers. A Marseille victory would have dropped Monaco to 4th.

Avoiding the drop
Strasbourg gained a point but Troyes and Lille were the relegation-threatened sides to secure maximum points from the round.
Bottom-table Metz was defeated away at Lille, Troyes came from behind to beat Caen, Strasbourg had to settle for a point against Nice, and Toulouse is defeated by Rennes.

Cavani scores goal #27 of the season and becomes Paris St.Germain’s all-time top scorer with 115 goals.
With the title already wrapped up, the result of this match meant very little to the objectives of Paris St. Germain, but Edinson Cavani scored two goals for Paris St. Germain to come from two goals down and avoid a defeat at home to Guingamp.
