Toulouse fought hard for a point at home and denied Monaco a victory to protect their position in the league table. Yaya Sanogo struck late to get the match to finish a ‘3-3’ draw.

Fortunately for Monaco, the teams that are in the position to take advantage of their dropped points were all on the wrong end of the score in their respective fixtures. Marseille suffered a ‘3-0’ defeat at the Parc des Princes to allow Paris Saint-Germain to open a 14-point gap at the top of the league table, and Lyon conceded a late goal against Saint-Etienne to finish their match with just a point at home.

Edinson Cavani scored his 24th goal of the season in PSG’s ‘3-0’ victory over Marseille, while Neymar misstep caused him to be carried off the pitch in pain. Fingers are crossed that is isn’t an injury that will keep Neymar on the sideline for a long time.

Troyes was on the losing end in their away fixture against Rennes.Dijon defeated Caen to widen the gap in points between the two sides. Metz remains at the bottom of the league table after failing to protect a goal lead on two occasions in their ‘2-2’ draw with Guingamp, and a late first-half goal from Gael Kakuta was enough for Amiens to down Nantes.

Lille remains in the drop-zone after suffering a defeat at home to Angers. Karl Toko Ekambi quickly restored the lead he had given Angers when they lost it late in the match.
