2017/18 French Ligue 1 – Round 25 – Neymar scored to keep PSG objectives intact.

The most successful teams in the league history could not find a winning goal to decide the match. Saint-Etienne and Marseille played out a ‘2-2’ draw top open the 25th round of the season.

Before the remainder games had commenced, Neymar scored the winner for Paris Saint-Germain to ensure no possible reduction in the point-gap between PSG and the chasing pack in Ligue 1.

Monaco did the best they could and convincingly took all three points from Angers. The victory allowed Monaco to take advantage of the points dropped by Marseille and move up to second place in the league standings.

Nice was on the losing end against Dijon after coming from a goal down to get a goal advantage.

The shocker of the round was Lyon falling at home to Rennes. A ‘2-0’ defeat kept Lyon four points away from the qualification spot for UEFA Champions League. Lyon has now suffered three straight league defeats after their dramatic late winner against Paris Saint-Germain on January 21, 2018
