A ‘3-0’ away victory over bottom table Metz, allowed Marseille to take advantage of Lyon and Monaco defeats in the 15th round of the 2017/18 French Ligue 1 season. Marseille climbed up to second place in the league standing. Lyon was defeated at home by relegation-threatened Lille, while a late goal at Nantes handed Monaco a consecutive defeat in the league. All the results benefit Paris Saint-Germain that is looking to be on their way to pick up a 7th league title at the end of the season. Paris Saint-Germain enjoys a 10-point gap at the top of Ligue 1.
