The 2018 Premier League season broke records

Manchester City raised the bar for as champions by setting new records in various departments.
Gabriel Jesus scored the only goal of the match in stoppage time to hand Manchester City their final 3 points of the season through a victory over Southampton. Manchester City to set a new record for the most points accumulated in the Premier League (100 points). Manchester City also finished the season with a record amount of victories (32) a record number of goals scored (106), the biggest margin for a title-winning club (19 points), biggest goal-difference (79), the most consecutive wins (18)

For the first time in a Premier League season, two players finished the season with 30+goals to their name.
Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane scored two goals in a 9-goal thriller against Leicester City to finish the season with 30 goals.
Mohamed Salah broke the league record when he opened the scoring for Liverpool’s comfortable home victory against Brighton & Hove Albion. Mohamed Salah won the ‘Golden Boot’ with a record 32 goals.
For the first time ever, two players in the league had 30+ goals to their name.

Newcastle finished in the ‘top 10’ of the final league standings after ending their season on high with a ‘3-0’ victory against Chelsea.

Swansea City is officially relegated.
It was a long shot at survival for Swansea City and a ‘2-1’ defeat at home to Stoke City will be their last Premier League result for at least another 15 months.

Defeat at Selhurst Park saw West Bromwich Albion finish the season at the bottom of the league table.
