Manchester City is the 2018 Premier League Champions. A deserved title for what has been an amazing season for the team.
A ‘3-1’ win over Tottenham Hotspur has placed Manchester City in the position to be the league champions with a victory in their next match (home against relegation-threatened Swansea City), but bottom-table West Bromwich handed Manchester United a defeat at Old Trafford to help in their fight to avoid relegation, while handing Manchester City the title before their next kick-off.

Southampton is sinking
It looked like Southampton was achieving success in their fight to avoid relegation and Chelsea was heading towards another winless match until the final 20 minutes of the match. Olivier Giroud came from the bench to inspire Chelsea to come from 2-goals down at St.Mary’s Stadium to win 3-2 against Southampton. Giroud scored a brace, including the winning goal for Chelsea to sink Southampton and take a victory in their chase for a place in the top-four and next season’s UEFA Champions League.

Burnley held on to early goals to beat Leicester City at home and open a 4-point gap between the two sides in the league standings.

Wilfried Zaha was the difference maker in a 5-goal thrilling match when Crystal Palace welcomed Brighton & Hove Albion. A ‘3-2’ victory result handed Crystal Palace valuable points in their quest to be part of the 2018/19 Premier League season.

Watford last 5 matches are made up by 4 defeats and a draw. Huddersfield Town wins with a stoppage-time goal against Watford.

Swansea City helped their fight to stay in the top-flight by getting a point at home against Everton.

League top scorer Mohamed Salah, took his goal tally to 30 in Liverpool’s comfortable home victory against AFC Bournemouth
