Manchester City did a rare thing this season and dropped some points. Despite domination on the pitch, Manchester City was not clinical with their finishing and ended up having to settle for a point away against Burnley.

Manchester United found goals in the second-half to bounce from mid-week defeat with a victory over Huddersfield Town. Alexis Sanchez opened his goalscoring account for Manchester United after getting a rebound of his penalty kick to give his new team the insurance goal to win the match.

Theo Walcott returned to Arsenal with his new club to suffer a humiliating defeat. A newly stacked Arsenal offensive line tore apart Everton’s defense to end the match with a ‘5-1’ victory. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored on his debut for Arsenal.

Brighton & Hove Albion beat West Ham United to tie them in points accumulated. Stoke City loses to Bournemouth after taking an early lead. Swansea City’s winning run ends with a draw against Leicester City.

Defeat to Southampton meant West Bromwich Albion didn’t make any move at the bottom of the league table.

Liverpool and Tottenham shared the points at Anfield. Harry Kane scored his 100th goal in the Premier League and restored his place at the top of the goal scoring list after Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah scored two goals in the match.

Instead of capitalizing on the result from the ‘Liverpool vs Tottenham’ match with a victory that would have sent them to third-place, Chelsea was on the end of a consecutive league defeat by a 3-goal margin. After losing the first-half lead late in the second-half, Watford quickly restored their lead and proceeded to demolish a 10-man Chelsea side to claim a ‘4-1’ victory. Watford’s first victory in six competitive matches.
