Ajax moves on to the 2016/17 UEFA Europa League final.
Kasper Dolberg opened the scoring for the match and to give Ajax the boost that proved to be the decider in this tie.
It would have been an interesting event if Lyon had managed to score one more goal in this fixture. Another goal for Lyon would have sent the match into extra time and allow Lyon to make use of their numerical advantage after Ajax was reduced to 10-men in the 84th minute.
