Atletico Madrid wins the final Madrid Derby at the Estadio Vicente Calderon but bows out of the 2017 UEFA Champions League.

It could be back-to-back UEFA Champions League winning season for Real Madrid as they marched to the final to face Juventus despite losing the semifinal 2nd leg to Atletico Madrid.

With their ‘3-0’ victory at home in the first leg, and Isco late first half goal in this match, Real Madrid had created a mountain that Atletico had to very clinical in attack to climb.

At the start of the second half, Atletico needed four goals to overturn the deficit. That is virtually impossible against an in-form team like Real Madrid.
