Germany
Qualified directly from the UEFA – ‘Group C’ winner
The Germans are the defending champions of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil and the champions of the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup. Can they keep the World Cup title for another four years?

This will be Germany’s 19th participation in the World Cup. There was a 24-year gap between Germany’s last two FIFA World Cup title, and that is something this generation of German footballers are planning to avoid.
Great team chemistry and exceptional individual talents. Germany had a 100% record in their World Cup qualifiers, winning all 10 matches.
Like every World Cup, Germany is a favorite.
There is enough talent in each position for Germany to possibly put together three strong set teams to represent them at the World Cup.
Mexico
Qualified directly from the CONCACAF – 1st place finish
It will be Mexico’s 16th participation in the FIFA World Cup Their last appearance was in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil
As a dominant side in the CONCACAF, Mexico has represented their confederation in 7 consecutive FIFA World Cups. The objective in the 2018 World Cup is for Mexico to go beyond the “Round of 16’ stage of the tournament. The ‘Round of 16’ has been the exit point for Mexico in their last 6 World Cup appearances.
Sweden
Qualified from the UEFA through play-offs.
This will be Sweden’s 12th participation in the World Cup. Their last appearance was in the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany. They got qualified for the 2018 World Cup by knocking out Italy in the UEFA play-offs.
South Korea
Qualified directly from the AFC – 2nd place finish in Group A
This will be South Korea’s 10th participation in the FIFA World Cup. Their last appearance was in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. South Korea has now qualified for 9 consecutive World Cups. Their history over the past 8 World Cups does not put them on the list of contenders, and that could be an opportunity for the team to surprise.
