Women’s football at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.

From August 3rd to the 19th, the 2016 Summer Olympics will give us another international tournament to watch.  Women football will be on the stage for Olympic medals.

 

12 nations will be participating. A group is made of four nations, making it a four group tournament.  The top two teams in each group plus the best two ranking third place teams in the tournament would move on to the knockout stage The quarterfinals will be the next destination after the group stage. Only one team will be eliminated in the group stage.
