SPANISH LA LIGA – Round 27
REAL MADRID VS REAL SOCIEDAD
In the last round, Real Madrid hit 60 points and kept a 6-point lead in the Spanish La Liga title race. A win against Real Sociedad will be needed for Real Madrid to keep their lead. Real Sociedad is touching distance from a Champions League qualifying spot.

Sevilla kept the pace with Real Madrid with a Seville derby victory that allowed them to open an 8-point game on Real Betis. With a game in hand, Barcelona is just a point away from third (Real Betis).
Atletico Madrid is just outside of the Champions League qualifying spot.

ALAVES VS SEVILLA
Sevilla will set the pace in the opening match of the round against Alaves.

REAL BETIS VS ATLETICO MADIRD
Despite the derby defeat, Real Betis will face Atletico Madrid with the morale boost from clinching a place in the Copa del Rey final.

ELCHE VS BARCELONA
Three wins in a row for Barcelona in all competitions; with two coming in the league. Barcelona has scored four goals in each.
An in-form Barcelona will be at Elche. Even an ‘out of form’ Barcelona picked up wins from this fixture so there is little doubt about what direction a win will go if there should be one.

ITALIAN SERIE A – Round 28
Juventus is creeping up but it’s Napoli and the Milan clubs are racing for the title.

Inter Milan has a game in hand to possibly take back the top spot in Serie A if they are able to find the right results.

INTER MILAN VS SALERNITANA
The round kicks off with Inter Milan hosting bottom table Salernitana.
Inter Milan has not won any of their last four league games but with a game in hand, they are still in a position to reclaim the top spot.
A win here will end their 4-match win drought and put them in a position to take advantage of the ‘Napoli vs AC Milan’ result. Ideally, Inter Milan will want a draw between Napoli and AC Milan.

As things stand after 27 rounds played, Napoli and AC Milan are the top two teams in the Serie A tied on 57 points.

The winner takes the top spot.
NAPOLI VS AC MILAN
Napoli were 1-0 winners in Milan in the reverse fixture but AC Milan’s most recent trip to Naples ended as a 3-1 win.
Napoli can take out one of the Milan clubs this weekend if they make home advantage count against AC Milan.

JUVENTUS VS SPEZIA
13 straight league games unbeaten has led Juventus back into title contention.
It was a narrow 3-2 against Spezia in the reverse leg. Juventus keep their grip on Champions League qualification with another victory over Spezia.

PREMIER LEAGUE – Round 28
Manchester City used a narrow (questionable) win over Everton to open a 6-point lead in the Premier League title race.

Being chased by a Liverpool team that has a game in hand means Manchester City must keep winning to be comfortable in the Premier League title race.

Manchester City and Liverpool will be champions if they win the rest of their matches.

MANCHESTER City vs MANCHESTER UNITED
Manchester City plays as host to Manchester United.
It ended as a 2-0 win for Manchester City in the reverse fixture but it was a 2-0 win for Manchester United the last time they visited Etihad Stadium.
Just like Manchester City, United has teams breathing down their necks for their position in the standings. Manchester United is chasing Champions League qualification from the league.

LIVERPOOL VS WEST HAM
West Ham were 3-2 winners in the reverse leg and they will be helping themselves in their quest for Champions League qualification if they can do a double against Liverpool.

BURNLEY vs CHELSEA
Chelsea is at Burnley for the points to help close in on the top two, while Burnley needs the points to help the relegation battle they are currently in.
Burnley got a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge in the reverse fixture.

WATFORD vs ARSENAL
Arsenal has three games in hand to push for a ‘top-four finish while Watford is fighting relegation. Different ambitions but the fight remain the same.

TOTTENHAM vs EVERTON
These two teams have found ways to disappoint but it is Everton that is desperately in need of the points for survival.

NORWICH CITY VS BRENTFORD
7 losses in 8 winless games for Brentford.
3 losses in 4 winless games for Norwich.
Bottom tabled Norwich City host a Brentford side that is on a downward spiral.
Norwich City helps themselves by dragging Brentford down.
Norwich were 2-1 winners in the reverse leg.

Burnley vs Chelsea

GERMAN BUNDESLIGA – Round 25
BAYERN MUNICH VS LEVERKUSEN
Bayern Munich will keep or widen their 8 point lead with a win.
Bayern were 5-1 winners in Leverkusen so a repeat of that will keep (or widen) their lead at the top of the Bundesliga standings. If the improbable happens and Leverkusen returns favor to Bayern for the defeat in the first half of the season, Leverkusen could move closer to 2nd if the improbable happens for Dortmund to drop points against Mainz.

There are three teams on 40 points trailing Leverkusen for 3rd place.
RB Leipzig, Freiburg, and Hoffenheim.

RB LEIPZIG vs FREIBURG
Should Bayern Munich get the job done at home and beat Leverkusen, the winner from this fixture will move a point from third place.

FC KOLN vs HOFFENHEIM
Hoffenheim will be in Cologne for the points.
If FC Koln makes home advantage count and picks up a victory, they will narrow the gap between themselves and Hoffenheim to a point.
The reverse fixture was a 5-0 win for Hoffenheim.

March 4.
Arminia Bielefeld vs Augsburg

March 5.
Bayern Munich vs Leverkusen
Bochum vs Greuther Furth
