Atlético Mineiro and Botafogo meet in an all-Brazilian final in the Copa Libertadores.
Der Klassiker: Borussia Dortmund vs. Bayern Munich takes the spotlight in the German Bundesliga.
Liverpool vs. Manchester City takes the spotlight in the English Premier League. Barcelona and Atlético Madrid seek crucial wins in title race, while Real Madrid looks to capitalize on their game in hand against Getafe.
Juventus defend their unbeaten record against Lecce, while Fiorentina and Inter Milan clash in a vital title race showdown.
Monaco and Marseille battle to keep pace with PSG in Ligue 1, while PSG hosts Nantes to solidify league lead.
Top-of-the-table clash in the Eredivisie as Utrecht hosts leaders PSV Eindhoven.
Sporting CP aims for another Primeira Liga win against Santa Clara.

UNBEATEN: 🇩🇪 Bayern Munich, 🇮🇹 Juventus, 🇫🇷 Paris Saint-Germain, 🇵🇹 Sporting CP
WINLESS: 🇩🇪 Bochum

Sporting CP was involved in the Taça de Portugal, so they were unable to extend their perfect winning record in the Primeira Liga last weeked, but they secured a comfortable 6-0 win over Amarante to advance to the last 16. Other than that, the unbeaten clubs in Europe’s top seven leagues remained that way, while the only club without a league win also stayed that way.
Sporting CP’s return to league football is a home fixture with Santa Clara. Despite the 12-point gap between the two, they are half of the four teams in the top four positions in the Primeira Liga standings after 11 rounds played.
As typical and expected, the ‘big three’ are the top three in the Primeira Liga. Porta and Benfica are chasing Sporting CP, and they will both be looking for wins this weeked to aid their objectives. Benfica is away against Arouca, while Porto host Casa Pia.

Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain both picked up 3-0 home wins in their respective leagues to remain at the top of the table. Bayern Munich defeated Augsburg in the German Bundesliga, while Paris Saint-Germain triumphed over Toulouse in the French Ligue 1. The two teams met in the midweek champions league football, where Bayern Munich made home advantage count with a 1-0 win.

This weekend, Bayern Munich will be in Dortmund for a much anticipated Der Klassiker, while Paris Saint-Germain will have a more comfortable home game against a Nantes side that has been without a win in nine straight league games. A win is a great opportunity for Paris Saint-Germain to widen their lead at the top of Ligue 1, as the two teams closest to them (Monaco and Marseille) are scheduled to play against each other. Lille will also look to take advantage of the ‘Marseille vs. Monaco’ result by grabbing the maximum points against a Montpellier side currently at the bottom of Ligue 1 standings.

🏆 Der Klassiker: The advantage for Borussia Dortmund is their home ground support.
The advantage for Bayern Munich lies in their unbeaten league record this season and their historical dominance in Der Klassiker. However, Dortmund broke a 10-match league winless streak against Bayern in their last meeting, securing a 2-0 victory. To achieve back-to-back league wins against Bayern, Dortmund must become the first team to inflict a league defeat on Bayern this season.

Eintracht Frankfurt, six points from the top of the league, will be in Heidenheim for the win to take full advantage of Der Klassiker results. Frankfurt will hope Dortmund takes points from Bayern Munich.
Defending champions, Bayer Leverkusen are still looking for consistency in the Bundesliga. They are part of the top four and nine points from the top of the league, but they are being pressured from behind by a few teams, with Borussia Dortmund applying the most pressure as things stand. Levekerkusen will be away against Union Berlin this weekend.
RB Leipzig were looking like prime title contenders in the Bundesliga until going on this winless run of three games consisting to two defeats. RB Leipzig will hope the can end their poor run with a win against a Wolfsburg side unbeaten in their last four league game’s and looking for a third straight league win.
Bochum, remains the only club in Europe’s top seven leagues that is without a league win after extending their run with a 2-0 defeat at Stuttgart in the last round of the German Bundesliga. An away fixture with Augsburg will be Bochum’s next chance at a league win. Augsburg is coming off a 3-0 defeat to Bayern Munich, but other than that, they’ve been on a decent run lately.

Juventus extended their unbeaten start to the Serie A season with a goalless draw against AC Milan, and will have Leece away this weekend. Despite being th only unbeaten team in the league, they are 6th in the standings after 13 games played.
Romelu Lukaku’s goal kept Napoli top of Serie A with a 1-0 win over Roma. With four teams sitting a point behind in the title race, Napoli can only enure they remain in their position by beating Torino this weekend.
Atalanta, Fiorentina, Inter Milan, and Lazio are the four teams that are trailing Napoli by a point.
Atalanta will face Roma away.
Fiorentina and Inter Milan will face each other.
Lazio will face Parma away.

Ricardo Pepi’s hat-trick powered PSV Eindhoven to a 5-0 win over Groningen in the Eredivisie to keep their lead in the Eredivisie title race. Utrecht and Ajax are the two teams behind PSV in the standings, and they both have a game in hand where they are meant to play each other.
PSV’s next fixture in the Eredivisie is away against Utrecht. A top-two clash.
Ajax will be away against NEC Nijmegen.
And just a point behind Ajax is Feyenoord, who will look to make it count twitch a win at home against Fortuna Sittard.

Manchester City’s struggles were extend in their midweek Champions League fixture at home with Feyenoord, where they blew a 3-goal lead in the second half to follow a run of five straight defeats with a 3-3 draw. The defending Premier League champions are now without a win in their last six matches across all competitions, losing five. Things won’t get any easier this weekend, as they face Liverpool.
James Maddison’s brace sunk Manchester City as their losing streak in the Premier League stretched to three in a row in a 4-0 home defeat to Tottenham. The result allowed Liverpool to open an 8-point lead in the Premier League title race after Mohamed Salah’s game-winning goal against Southampton. Coming up this weekend is a clash of the top two teams in the Premier League standings—Liverpool vs. Manchester City. Positionally, only Manchester City is at risk if they don’t come out with a win. Arsenal, Brighton, and Chelsea are all a point behind Manchester City, and only a win can guarantee City their position if any of the three come out with a win this weekend.
Brighton will be kicking off the round with bottom-tabled Southampton.
Arsenal is away against West Ham United.
Chelsea will be home against Aston Villa.

Barcelona remains in the driver’s seat, but their lead in La Liga took a hit after dropping points in consecutive league games, following a defeat to Real Sociedad with a 2-all draw with Celta Vigo after blowing a 2-goal lead. The result allowed Real Madrid to close the gap at the top to four points with a 3-0 win over Leganés, while still having a game in hand. Barcelona will host Las Palmas for their next La Liga fixture, while Real Madrid host Getafe.
Atletico Madrid have not been consistent, but they are now five points from the top of the table, and a win against bottom-table Valladolid will be something they would gladly use to put some pressure on the two teams ahead of them in the standings (Barcelona and Real Madrid).
