Bayer Leverkusen vs Bayern Munich (German Bundesliga)
The defending champions and current league leaders will be reopening the 2017/18 Bundesliga season after the end-of-the-year break.

It is a tricky home game for Bayer Leverkusen, as their undefeated run can come to an end in front of their home supporters. Bayern Munich is always a Bundesliga favorite.

Both teams in good form, fourth-placed Leverkusen is undefeated in 12 league matches (winning half and drawing the other half.) Bayern sits at the top of the league table and going into the match for their fifth successive league victory. The rest of the German Bundesliga will be supporting Leverkusen in this fixture. A Leverkusen victory will bring Bayern Munich closer to the chasing pack.

Chelsea vs Leicester City (English Premier League)
They are linked by their primary colors, some midfield talents, and by being the most recent league title winners.

Chelsea is third in the league and 16 points clear of 8th-place Leicester City, but a victory for either side will see them move a lot closer to achieving their pre-season expectations

Tottenham vs Everton (English Premier League)
This wouldn’t be the tie that most of Everton supporters will be looking forward to after going four league matches without a victory (5 in all competitions). There is an urgent need for a victory for Everton.

Tottenham is getting back on track in their race to at least finish the season in a position that will see them directly qualified for the Champions League.

Everton could shock the football world with a victory, but playing at home and their current form makes Tottenham the favorite in this fixture.

Real Madrid vs Villarreal (Spanish La Liga)
A La Liga top end of the table clash.

After dropping points in their last two La Liga matches, Real Madrid can’t afford to go into this fixture with any room for an error.

Real Madrid has a game in hand, and to guarantee that their match in hand becomes useful, they will need to get a victory at home over a Villarreal side that is looking for a victory to close in on Madrid in the league standings.

RB Leipzig vs Schalke 04 (German Bundesliga)
The hope for RB Leipzig is that the winter break allowed them time to reflect on their approach to the season.
The gap to the top might be too wide, but second place is up for grabs for a few teams in the league, including these two. Just 2-points stand between 2nd-place Schalke 04 and RB Leipzig, but according to form, it is more than just point. While Schalke has been ascending with recent results, Leipzig has been descending with their poor results.

Liverpool vs Manchester City (English Premier League)
Only a draw can keep the streak both teams are on at the moment, but with both sides having an undefeated run and winning runs while playing attractive attacking football, it is difficult to see such outcome.
There couldn’t have been a better time for these two sides to meet.
Manchester City sits 15-points clear at top of the league table by going undefeated in 22 matches. Liverpool is playing in front of their home fans and is undefeated in 17-successive matches in all competition, 13 of these matches being league matches.
