UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE – AFTER MD 2

Aston Villa, Bayer Leverkusen, Benfica, Borussia Dortmund, Brest, Juventus, and Liverpool continued their winning starts with another victory.
Arsenal, Atalanta, Inter Milan, and Manchester City followed their opening round draws with wins, while Monaco, Sparta Prague, and Sporting CP dropped points in a draw after winning their opening matches.
Barcelona, Club Brugge, Feyenoord, and Lille bounced back from their opening round defeats with a win, while Atlético Madrid, Bayern Munich, Celtic, Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid followed their opening round victories with a loss.
Thirteen clubs remain without a win, with eight of them yet to pick up a point. AC Milan is part of the eight, PSV Eindhoven is part of the other five that completes the thirteen.

::: Karim Adeyemi scored a first-half hat-trick in Dortmund’s 7-1 thrashing of Celtic.
::: Robert Lewandowski scored a brace in Barcelona’s 5-0 win over Young Boys.
::: Hakan Çalhanoğlu opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a free kick, setting Inter Milan on their way to a 4-0 home win over Red Star Belgrade, with three more players adding to the tally.
::: Sporting CP came from behind to earn a point in Eindhoven against PSV.
::: Manchester City secured a comfortable 4-0 away win over Slovan Bratislava.

::: Despite being first to get on the scoreboard with a goal from David López in the 19th minute, Girona conceded two own goals and suffered a 3-2 defeat at home to Feyenoord.
::: John Duran entered the game in the 70th minute and scored the only goal of the match 9 minutes later, handing Aston Villa a win over Bayern Munich.
::: Monaco was two goals down with a third of the game left to play but found the goals to avoid an away defeat, securing a 2-2 draw against Dinamo Zagreb.
::: A goal in each half secured Liverpool a 2-0 home win against Bologna, with Alexis Mac Allister and Mohamed Salah on the scoresheet.
::: Real Madrid lost to Lille, with Jonathan David scoring the game’s only goal through a penalty in added time of the first half.
