You know it’s early in the season when Celta Vigo tops the La Liga table. Barcelona and Celta Vigo are the only two teams in the league with a perfect winning record after two rounds, while Espanyol and Valencia are the only teams with a perfect losing record. AtlĂ©tico Madrid, Real Madrid, LeganĂ©s, Osasuna, and Villarreal all recovered from opening-round draws with wins in this round, while Rayo Vallecano dropped points in a draw after a winning start to the season. These six teams, along with Barcelona and Celta Vigo, remain unbeaten after two rounds.

Celta Vigo ( 3 ) – ( 1 ) Valencia
After conceding in the 15th minute, Celta Vigo responded swiftly, taking a 2-1 lead into halftime with goals from Ăscar Mingueza and Iago Aspas, who could have finished the half with two goals if he had converted a late penalty. Fran BeltrĂĄn confirmed Celta Vigoâs win when he scored in the 60th minute to double their lead. The result leaves Valencia reeling with two defeats from their opening two matches, while Celta Vigo continues to build momentum with two wins from two.
Sevilla ( 1 ) – ( 2 ) Villarreal
Sevilla suffered a heartbreaking 2-1 defeat at home against Villarreal, conceding a goal in the opening minutes and another in stoppage time.
