Group D
Turkey 0 v Croatia 1
Croatia temporarily goes on top of Group D after a deserving victory over Turkey in the first match in Group D.
Luka Modric’s 41st-minute goal was the deciding goal. Croatia didn’t look in danger of losing this match, as Turkey didn’t show enough in attack to convince us that they could get a win.
They shared a group with Spain and Czech Republic, so a win was vital for both teams.

Turkey takes on Spain, while Croatia will be playing against the Czech Republic in the next group match. Another win for Croatia will probably see them advance from Group D.
Turkey can’t take another loss. They will likely be out of the competition with a second loss.
We wait for the result of the Spain v Czech Republic match to tell us how much work is there for these two sides.
As it stands….
