There were close calls but no real upsets in the opening round of the 2020/21 season.

It was a highly anticipated game that lived up to the billing. Liverpool and Leeds were separated by a late penalty in a 7-goal thriller at Anfield.
Mohamed Salah kicked off the season with a hat trick as Liverpool narrowly gets a win at home to open their season against Leeds.

Willian registered a hat trick of assists as Arsenal picked up three points from Fulham in the opening game of the 2020/21 Premier League season.

James Rodriguez impressed in his first game for Everton. His side went on to win their season opener by a single goal against Tottenham in London.

Chelsea quickly restored their lead in the second half to win at Brighton (3-1)
