Almeria’s four-match win drought came to an end after a ‘3-1’ win against an Espanyol side that had been unbeaten since the restart of the season.

It was by the narrowest of margins but Barcelona got the three points needed to keep their league title charge. Pedri replaced an injured Ousmane Dembele in the 26th minute and scored the only goal of the match in the 61st minute.

Youssef En-Nesyri scored two goals to help Sevilla bounce from their Copa del Rey exit with a ‘3-0’ win against an Elche side that remains without a league wins this season.

It is four defeats in a row for Getafe after Borja Iglesias won Real Betis the game when he scored the only goal of the match through a penalty kick in the 86th minute.

Real Sociedad kept tabs open by getting a point from a goalless draw with Real Madrid.

Iago Aspas scored the only goal of the match to get Celta Vigo a win against an Athletic Club side that was without Inaki Williams.
The last time Williams did not feature for Athletic Club in a league game was on April 7, 2016 (vs Malaga). A reported muscle injury ruled him out of featuring in the 252nd consecutive league matches for Athletic Club.
