Celta Vigo ( 1 ) – ( 1 ) Girona
Athletic Club ( 1 ) – ( 1 ) Sevilla
Real Betis ( 1 ) – ( 0 ) Espanyol
AtlĂ©tico Madrid ( 1 ) – ( 1 ) Real Madrid

::: Celta Vigo managed to secure a point at home after suffering back-to-back league defeats. Iago Aspas found the equalizer in the 81st minute, denying Girona all three points. For Girona, this result marks consecutive league draws following a string of two league losses, including a Champions League defeat. Last season’s standout campaign for Girona, where they contended in the La Liga title race, now seems a distant memory.
::: An own goal deep into stoppage time spared Sevilla from defeat and denied Athletic Club a home victory. On the balance of play, a draw seemed fair. Athletic Club took the lead in the 36th minute, but their task became harder when goalkeeper Julen Agirrezabala received a red card in the 82nd minute, reducing them to 10 men. The late drama came in the 93rd minute when Alex Padilla’s own goal canceled out the earlier lead.
::: Abde Ezzalzouli missed a penalty at the end of the first half that could have given Real Betis the lead, but they ultimately found the breakthrough in the 85th minute through a goal from Giovani Lo Celso, granting Real Betis a 1-0 victory over Espanyol.
::: An eventful Madrid derby ended in a 1-1 draw, with Atletico Madrid coming from behind to share the points with Real Madrid. Eder Militão opened the scoring for Real Madrid in the 64th minute, but Atletico leveled the match in dramatic fashion with Ángel Correa’s goal in the sixth minute of added time.
