The Spanish dominance!

FUTBOL MADE IN SPAIN

Spanish football is dominating UEFA and the World.

After winning 2015 FIFA World Cup, Germany is the champions of the football World. But in their confederation, it’s all about Spain.

There are three major continental trophies that are currently residing in Spain. The UEFA European Championship (The Euros), The UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Super Cup.

HatTricks

Spain is looking for a possible hat trick with the UEFA European Championship (Euros). Spain went on a long drought of international success, to equaling the record for the most Euros won. The probability of Spain keeping the Euros for another 4 years might not be as high as it once was. Their performance in the 2014 FIFA World Cup might have broken the fear factor that the team use to have. You don’t need to be afraid to lose.

The UEFA Champions League went from Real Madrid (2014) to Barcelona (2015). The last four finalists of the competition were 75% La Liga teams. In 2016.

There are three La Liga teams (Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and FC Barcelona) among the 16 teams that advanced to the knockout stage. No other league has more.  Fortunately, for Spanish football, the three teams that have made it to the knockout stage are the best three teams in their league. The hope of keeping the trophy in Spain for a third straight year is intact.

Sevilla is back in the UEFA Europa league, after failing to advance from the group stage of the Champions League. This gives Sevilla an opportunity to defend the title.  This is not a new task for the team, as they had to do the same thing last season. Winning the trophy will make it a third in a row. A third for Spanish football.

If both Champions League and Europa League end up in the hands of La Liga teams one more time, then UEFA Super Cup will be another hat-trick for Spain.

The 2015 FIFA PRO XI team had 80% of the outfielders from La Liga.

Manuel Neuer, Thiago Silva, (Marcelo), (Sergio Ramos), (Dani Alves), (Andres Iniesta), (Luka Modric), Paul Pogba, (Neymar), (Lionel Messi), (Cristiano Ronaldo).

The trophy for the European Competition would have been in Spain for 8 years by the time the next competition kicks off. The UEFA Champions League would have been in Spain for 2 years by the time the final match of both competitions would be played. The probability for all 3 trophies to remain in Spain for another year is very well alive. The only undefeated side at the end of the UCL group stage was Real Madrid.
