PSG, Marseille, and Lens lead the race in the French Ligue 1 with an unbeaten record. Lens is two points behind the other two.

MARSEILLE VS RENNES
Marseille will look to open an 11-point lead on Rennes with a win.
Rennes were 2-0 winners in their most recent game against Marseille but they also lost 2-0 the last time they played at Marseille.

LYON VS PARIS ST. GERMAIN
Paris St. Germain’s most recent trip to Lyon ended as a 1-1 draw.
Both of Lyon’s defeat has come in their most recent games. They are staring at the risk of a third straight defeat in the league when they take on an unbeaten Paris St. Germain who are also looking for the result to remain top of the league.

NANTES VS LENS
From the opening 7 league games, Lens have gone unbeaten and won five while Nantes’s only win came at home. against newly-promoted Toulouse.
Nantes has had the better record in recent history. They were 3-2 winners at home when Lens paid a visit but picked up a point in a 2-2 draw at Lens in their most recent meeting.

Union Berlin, and Freiburg lead the race in the German Bundesliga with Bayern, Hoffenheim, and Dortmund on 12 points each.

UNION BERLIN VS WOLFSBURG
A home win against Wolfsburg will guarantee Union Berlin their stay at the top of the league table for another round. Wolfsburg lost 2-0 the last time they played in Berlin but they were 1-0 winners in their most recent meeting.

HOFFENHEIM VS FREIBURG
Freiburg finished on the right end of a 7-goal match by winning 4-3 in their most recent meeting against Hoffenheim.
Hoffenheim and Freiburg finished the 6th round of the German Bundesliga in the ‘top 4’ separated by a point. They are both within two points away from being top of the table at the end of the 7th round.

AUGSBURG VS BAYERN MUNICH
While they pick up wins in the Champions League, Bayern Munich has managed to drop points in their last three league matches. They played a 1-1 draw with both Monchengladbach and Union Berlin, and a 2-2 draw with Stuttgart in the last round. At Augsburg, Bayern will be looking for the result that will make up for the three points dropped in those three draws.
It was a goal from the penalty spot that got Bayern Munich a win at home against Augsburg in their most recent meeting, but it was Augsburg on the winning end of a 2-1 score the last time Bayern Munich paid them a visit.

DORTMUND VS SCHALKE (Revierderby)
To make it a consecutive league victory after winning their first of the season in the last round (against Bochum), newly-promoted Schalke will need a Rivierderby win against a Dortmund team that is coming to this game after a ‘3-0’ defeat (against RB Leipzig) in their last league game and a ‘2-1’ midweek Champions League defeat against Manchester City.
Dortmund is 2 points from the top of the league table so a derby win will be the morale boost they should be craving. Schalke might fall into the relegation zone if they don’t pick up point(s).
There wasn’t a Revierderby last season because Schalke was fighting for promotion from the second division. The last Revierderby was a 4-0 away win for Dortmund.
Schalke’s most recent win in the derby was a 4-2 win in 2019.

MONCHENGLADBACH VS RB LEIPZIG
Monchengladbach and RB Leipzig will both be looking for their third win in 7 matches.
RB Leipzig is coming from a Champions League defeat to Real Madrid (in Madrid) but that isn’t a result that would shock many.
After beating Borussia Dortmund in their last league game, Marco Rose’s RB Leipzig will test their improvement under a new manager when they travel to face Borussia Monchengladbach.
Monchengladbach has not won any of their last three games played in the league but were 3-1 winners the last time this fixture was played.

Napoli, Atalanta, and AC Milan lead the title race in the Italian Serie A with 14 points each.
Udinese, Roma, Inter Milan, and Lazio are mathematically in a position to rise to the top.

AC MILAN VS NAPOLI
AC Milan and Napoli come to this fixture with a win in their last league fixture and also a midweek victory in the Champions League. They will both be playing for the points to remain as the team with the most points, while also attempting to stretch their unbeaten start into the 8th round.
Since 2018, the winner of this fixture in the league has been the away team.
Last season, AC Milan were 1-0 winners in Naples, while Napoli were 1-0 winners in Milan.

ROMA VS ATALANTA
Jose Mourinho’s Roma has what it takes to hand Atalanta their first league defeat of the season. Roma was 1-0 winners the last time this fixture was played.
There is just a point between Atalanta and Roma.
Atalanta will go to Rome with the ambition of remaining unbeaten in the league and widening the point gap.

UDINESE VS INTER MILAN
Udinese’s only defeat this season was 4-2 loss to AC Milan in the opening round of the season. They’ve gone unbeaten since; winning their most recent four matches. Will Udinese’s next league defeat come against the other Milan club?
The last time Udinese had a win against Inter Milan was in 2017 (3-1 win in Milan). At two points from the top of the table, Inter Milan will see this as an opportunity to return to the top end of the league standings.

CREMONESE VS LAZIO
Newly-promoted Cremonese is looking for their first win of the season. The last time Cremonese faced Lazio was in the 2020 Round of 16 of the Coppa Italia. Lazio won 4-0, and Lazio could use another win to help them join the early title race.

MONZA VS JUVENTUS
They’ve remained unbeaten in the league but there have been (too) many occasions this season that Juventus has left the match without the maximum points in the league. Juventus have dropped points in consecutive league games, and they are not finding success in their Champions League matches either; losing both matches played.
A ‘2-0’ win against Spezia is the only win from their last 7 fixtures.
Luckily for Juventus, they will be facing a newly-promoted Monza for their next league game. Monza picked up their first league point of the season from a 1-1 draw with Lecce in the last round. Juventus failing to beat Monza will be a new low for their season.
For the neutral, Monza winning a game like this will be the boost that might drive them to the form that will allow for them to achieve safety in Serie A at the end of the season.

Real Madrid and Barcelona will want to extend their unbeaten start to the Spanish La Liga season with another win.
Real Betis and Osasuna will keep their place in the ‘top four’ with a win.

BARCELONA VS ELCHE
The last two meetings between the two were won by a goal margin.
Whether it’s in the league or in the cup, Barcelona have come out on top against Elche.
A goalless draw at Elche in 2014 was the last point Elche has been able to pick up from a fixture against Barcelona.

ATLETICO MADRID VS REAL MADRID (EL DERBI MADRILEÑO)
Madrid Derby
Atletico Madrid will attempt to do something no other team has done this season. They will try and beat Real Madrid. Real Madrid has historically had the upper hand but Atletico Madrid were the winners of the last derby played.
Having the home advantage in the Madrid derby should be some advantage for Atletico Madrid to win their first consecutive Madrid derby since 2015.
With Barcelona on their tails, Real Madrid can’t afford to drop points in this fixture and hold on to the top spot.
Both clubs are coming from a 4-1 win in their last league fixture but it was Real Madrid that followed their win in the league with a midweek victory in the Champions League.

REAL BETIS VS GIRONA
Real Madrid has been the only side to take points from Real Betis after 5 rounds of the La Liga season. Real Betis has a ‘top four’ position to keep in the league when they face newly-promoted Girona.

OSASUNA VS GETAFE
Osasuna ended the 5th round in 4th place and only a win against Getafe will guarantee they keep 4th place into the 7th round. Getafe will hope to follow their first win of the season with another. Their last meeting with Osasuna ended a 1-1 draw.

VILLARREAL VS SEVILLA
Villarreal would not like to suffer consecutive defeats at the hands of teams from Seville.
Villarreal lost their first game of the season in the last round after a 1-0 defeat against Real Betis, while Sevilla won their first game of the season in the last round after a 3-2 win against Espanyol.

This weekend comes with a great chance to reshape the ‘top 4’ of the Dutch Eredivisie table.

Ajax, Feyenoord, PSV Eindhoven, and AZ Alkmaar are the four teams at the top end of the Dutch Eredivisie after 6 rounds of the 2022/23 season.|

PSV EINDHOVEN VS FEYENOORD (DE KRAKER)
Feyenoord will be at Einhodven for the points to keep tabs on Ajax.
Feyenoord is currently a position and a point ahead of PSV Eindhoven on the league table. PSV Eindhoven has the goal difference to use a win from this fixture to climb to the top of the Eredivisie standings if Ajax is to suffer a defeat.

AZ ALKMAAR VS AJAX
A point for Ajax will likely keep them at the top of the league standings at the end of Round 7 but they will be in search of the win in Alkmaar to guarantee their position and the point gap.
Ajax is taking on an AZ Alkmaar team that can only guarantee their ‘top 4’ status in the standings with another win. AZ Alkmaar’s failure to get the right result will create the path for FC Twente to use a win against Heerenveen to leap above into the ‘top 4’.

EREDIVISIE STANDINGS
Ajax – 18 points
Feyenoord – 16 points
PSV Eindhoven – 15 points
AZ Alkmaar – 14 points
FC Twente – 13 points
