The top three teams won their matches. Real Sociedad, in fourth place, lost to third-place Atlético Madrid but still qualified for the Champions League because Villarreal lost to Rayo Vallecano. Real Betis qualified for the Europa League with a win over Girona. Espanyol was relegated after drawing with Valencia. Six teams are still in danger of relegation going into the last day of the season: Valladolid, Celta Vigo, Almería, Valencia, Getafe, and Cádiz. Five teams are still in contention for the Conference League playoff spot: Osasuna, Athletic Club, Girona, Vallecano, and Sevilla.
