English Premier League

The midweek fixtures in the English Premier League.

April 19.
LIVERPOOL 4-0 MANCHESTER UNITED
Just in case you couldn’t tell how wide the gap was between these two traditional giants this season, Liverpool will end the season with a 9-0 aggregate win against Manchester United.

April 20.
EVERTON 1-1 LEICESTER CITY
A vital point for Everton to help their battle against relegation.
Richarlision’s goal in the 2nd minute of the final additional time saved Everton from a defeat at home to Leicester City.

CHELSEA 2-4 ARSENAL
They were coming from defeat against Crystal Palace, Brighton, and Southampton.
Arsenal was staring at a fourth straight league defeat as they went to Stamford Bridge for the points to help their bid for Champions League qualification.
We don’t know how they do it but Arsenal ended a 3-game losing streak at the league at Stamford Bridge.

NEWCASTLE 1-0 CRYSTAL PALACE
Three league wins in a row for Newcastle.
Miguel Almiron’s goal in the 32nd minute was enough to get Newcastle a 1-0 win against Crystal Palace.

MANCHESTER CITY 3-0 BRIGHTON
Manchester City did not have enough advantage at the top to let any points drop against a Brighton side that has spent their last two fixtures denying their opposition the points they were expecting.
Brighton had taken the maximum points from an Arsenal, and a Tottenham side that was looking for points to secure Champions League qualification.

It took the entirety of the first half and almost 10 minutes of the second half of Arsenal to finally get the breakthrough goal. Riyad Mahrez opened the scoring in the 53rd minute for Manchester City to reclaim the top spot in the standings with a 3-0 win against Brighton.

April 21.
BURNLEY 2-0 SOUTHAMPTON
Burnley picked up three points to help their odds of surviving in the Premier League for another season.
