The Italian Serie A – Inter Milan’s title defense is getting the backing.

SERIE A
Napoli got a win at San Siro to move even on points with AC Milan while moving two positions up to take the second place in the standings; putting AC Milan down to third.

Napoli’s win helped grow Inter Milan’s lead at the top to four points.
Inter did the expected and took three points from Salernitana.
Atalanta dropped a position down to 4th after a defeat against Roma.
Roma moved a position up to 5th.

Juventus got the win to remain in 7th.
The win for Roma and for Juventus allowed them to equal Fiorentina on points. Fiorentina could only manage a draw against Sassuolo.


The three teams in the relegation zone were all on the losing end of the score.
Genoa’s goal against Lazio was the only progressive thing to happen.

Tammy Abraham got Roma into the lead with a goal in the first minute of the match. Abraham scored the match opening and the match closing goal for Roma to take the three points at Bergamo.

On the balance of play, Atalanta probably deserved more
than a defeat. The result reduced Atalanta’s lead on Roma
to six points.


BOLOGNA 0-2 JUVENTUS
Juventus’s fix to the points dropped in Venice was a win at Bologna. The goals came from Alvaro Morata and Juan Cuadrado.


CAGLIARI 0-4 UDINESE
Gerard Deulofen scored two goals in Udinese’s win against Cagliari.
A consecutive league defeat for a Cagliari side that has yet to accumulate multiple wins in the league.

AC MILAN 0-1 NAPOLI
Eljif Rtmas 5th minute goal was enough to get Napoli the three points at San Siro.
