Leading goalscorers
Andrea Belotti (Torino) – 4 goals
Francesco Caputo (Sassuolo) – 4 goals
Alejandro Gómez (Atalanta) – 4 goals
Zlatan Ibrahimović (AC Milan) – 4 goals
Hirving Lozano (Napoli) – 4 goals

  • Napoli hammered 4 into Atalanta’s net in the first half to secure three points and hand Atalanta their first league defeat of the season. Chucky Lozano scored a brace to open the scoring and Matteo Politano and Victor Osimhen added the additional goals.
  • For the first time since 2016, AC Milan are winners in a league Milan Derby. Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored both goals for AC Milan to make it 4 wins from 4 through a 2-1 victory against Inter Milan.
  • Lazio made it three matches without a win after a 3-0 defeat away against Sampdoria. For Sampdoria, it was the back-to-back win.
  • Alvaro Morata would have won the game for Juventus if VAR had not ruled out his match winning goal. The points were shared between Crotone and Juventus after a 1-1 draw.
  • They were down 3-1 at the hour mark but Sassuolo scored 4 goals in their third straight game to win 4-3 at Bologna.
  • After going down 2 goals in the first 4 minutes, newly-promoted Spezia fought their way back to even the score and pick up a point from a 2-2 draw with Fiorentina. It was the bounce Spezia needed after defeat to AC Milan. For Fiorentina, this was supposed to be the match to get them back on the winning track after consecutive league defeats. A draw isn’t good enough considering the early lead they had.
  • Cagliari extended Torino losing start to the season to 3 matches. Andrea Belotti(Torino) and Giovanni Simeone (Cagliari) both scored a brace for their clubs, but Simeone added his to a goal.
  • Udinese beat Parma by 3 goals to 2. Ignazio Pussetto’s 88th-minute winning goal handed Udiense their opening victory of the season after 3 defeats.
  • Edin Dzeko scored three as Roma put 5 past newly-promoted Benevento.
