The Italian Serie A after 27 rounds: Napoli climbs to the top of the pile.

Napoli moved to the top on equal points with AC Milan while Inter Milan is trailing two points behind with a game in hand.
Juventus used a win at Empoli to stay in a Champions League qualifying position and just five points from the top three.
A win for Roma against Spezia moved them a point and position above Lazio.

At the bottom of the table, Salernitana and Genoa picked up a point each from their respective matches.

The Milan clubs dropped 4 points on Friday.
In the previous round, AC Milan dropped points (away) against bottom-tabled Salernitana but Inter Milan did ‘better’ by losing at home to Sassuolo.
This time around they both dropped two points each after AC Milan gave up a lead to settle for a draw at home against Udinese, while Inter Milan didn’t even get a goal at Genoa.

GENOA 0-0 INTER MILAN

SALERNITANA 1- 1 BOLOGNA: Salernitana came from behind to get a result that stretched their streak of draws to four league games.

EMPOLI 2-3 JUVENTUS
Dusan Vlahovic’s brace came in handy in the end as Juventus ended up winning by a goal margin at Empoli.
Juventus remains unbeaten in the league since November 27, 2021. [1-0 against Atalanta], and this result ended a streak of draws.

SASSUOLO 2-1 FIORENTINA
Gregoire Defrel scored in the last attacking play of the game to restore Sassuolo’s lead and secure a win after Arthur Cabral had scored in the 88th minute for Fiorentina to cancel the lead Hamed Traore had given Sassuolo in the 19th minute.

TORINO 1-2 CAGLIARI
Cagliari went 5 games unbeaten after a 2-1 win in Turin against Torino.
Torino went 5 games without a win.

HELLAS VERONA 3-1 VENEZIA
Giovanii Simeone’s hattrick got Hellas Veron a 3-1 win against Venezia.

SPEZIA 0-1 ROMA
Tammy Abraham scored from the penalty spot in the 9th minute of the final added time to get Roma their first league victory in for matches against a numerically disadvantaged Spezia.

LAZIO 1-2 NAPOLI
Napoli moved to the top of the Italian Serie A standings.
Fabian scored in the final minute of the final added time to restore Napoli’s lead after Pedro Rodriguez had scored for Lazio to cancel the lead Lorenzo Insigne had given Napoli in the 68th minute.
This was Napoli’s first win in 5 competitive matches.

ATALANTA 4-0 SAMPDORIA
Atalanta picked up their first win since their 6-2 away win against Udinese to end a streak of 5 league matches without a win.
