Albert Gudmundsson’s goal in the 35th minute was enough to earn Genoa a 1-0 win against winless Salernitana. Genoa got their third win from their opening 10 rounds, while Salernitana will go into the 11th round still searching for their first league win of the season.

Juventus dominated the game and were fortunate that their domination didn’t go to waste. Moise Kean had a goal ruled out in each half but Andrea Cambiaso scored in the 7th minute of final added time to get Juventus a 1-0 win against Hellas Verona in a game that possibly should have seen Juventus win by a larger margin of victory. The three points are all that matter for Juventus. Hellas Verona goes eight games without a win (six defeats).

Cagliari staged a stunning comeback from a 3-0 deficit to defeat Frosinone 4-3 in a thrilling and dramatic finish. Second-half substitute Leandro Pavoletti scored twice in the final minutes of added time to secure a memorable victory, which also gave his team their first league win of the season. Cagliari conceded their third goal in the 49th minute and found themselves three goals behind with less than 20 minutes of regular time remaining. Pavoletti scored Cagliari’s equalizing and game-winning goals just two minutes apart (90+4 and 90+6). Cagliari came to this fixture as the worst-performing of the newly-promoted teams, while Frosinone, came in as the best-performing of the newly-promoted teams.

Inter Milan kept their lead at the top of the table with a 1-0 victory over Roma. The result was Roma’s first defeat in six games, four of which were league matches. Marcus Thuram scored the only goal of the game in the 81st minute, giving Inter a deserved win after dominating the match.

AC Milan seemed destined for three points when Olivier Giroud’s brace put them ‘2-0’ up by halftime, but Napoli scored in the second half to salvage a ‘2-2’ draw and avoid a home defeat.

Gianluca Scamacca scored two goals as Atalanta secured a 3-0 victory against Empoli.
Lazio won 1-0 against Fiorentina thanks to a late penalty converted by Ciro Immobile in the fifth minute of added time.
