If needed, cancel those plans and make room in your schedule for these matches over the weekend.

December 13, 2019
Lille vs Montpellier (French Ligue 1)
Montpellier would cut the point-gap between the two sides down to a single point with a win.
Lille’s ambition of staying close to the title race doesn’t allow for them to drop points in this fixture.
Montpellier was unbeaten in 6 league matches before losing that run against PSG in the last round, while Lille will make is 4 wins on the bounce since the defeat to PSG.

December 14, 2019
Liverpool vs Watford (English Premier League)
With the match being played at Anfield and the form that both teams are on makes this a guaranteed win for Liverpool.
The best team in the league (Liverpool) takes on the worst team in the league (Watford).
This is a case of 1st vs Last.
Liverpool remains unbeaten in the league and we don’t expect Watford to be the team to change that. But since football has its way of surprising us, we can only watch and see if the improbable happens at Anfield.

Bayern Munich vs Werder Bremen (German Bundesliga)
For Bayern Munich not to be in pole position in the Bundesliga is something very few would have called at the beginning of the season.
Bayern isn’t even in a Champions League qualifying position as things stand. They are 7th and 7 points from the top of the league.
Bayern will need a win at home against Werder Bremen. Failure to do so will stretch their winless streak in the league to 3 matches after losing consecutive matches.
Werder Bremen’s fight in this is to avoid a relegation battle.

Burnley vs Newcastle (English Premier League)
Newcastle is unbeaten in the last three matches and could make it three wins in a row with a victory against a Burnley side that have lost their last three matches in the league.

Leicester vs Norwich City (English Premier League)
Liverpool won’t be the only team at the top of the English Premier League table that will be hosting a team that is suffering in the relegation.
Leicester City (2nd) will take on Norwich City (19th) and the result looks like it can only go one way.

Real Sociedad vs Barcelona (Spanish La Liga)
Having Real Madrid on the heels means Barcelona can’t risk dropping point if Madrid doesn’t. So far that is the only way to keep their place at the top till the El Clasico.

Napoli vs Parma (Italian Serie A)
Can Napoli under new management put an end to the winless streak they are having in Serie A?
Gennaro Gattuso will start his managerial tenure with Napoli by taking on Parma.

Southampton vs West Ham (English Premier League)
Angers vs Monaco (French Ligue 1)

Atletico Madrid vs Osasuna (Spanish La Liga)
Atletico Madrid’s current form in the league is poor for a team that was expected to give Barcelona and Real Madrid a good run for the La Liga title.
Playing Osasuna at home will be a change for Atletico to pick up 3 points and get back on track to hit their pre-season target.
A win for Osasuna will see them leap over Atletico Madrid in the league standings.

December 15, 2019
Feyenoord vs PSV Eindhoven (Dutch Eredivisie)
⅔ of the ‘Big Three’ of Dutch football will go head-to-head this Sunday.
Picking up a win on the road will help PSV move close to the title race by taking advantage of the (AZ Alkmaar vs Ajax) result.

Manchester United vs Everton (English Premier League)
After surviving Tottenham and Manchester City with a win, Manchester United will be hoping to extend their run with a victory at home against an Everton side that is still trying to put their season together.

Juventus vs Udinese (Italian Serie A)
Juventus will be looking to bounce from their first defeat of the season by getting the maximum points at home against Udinese. A win is also what Juventus need to keep up with Inter Milan.
Udinese needs a result that is going to get them further away from the dropzone in the league standings.

Wolfsburg vs Borussia Monchengladbach (German Bundesliga)
The Bundesliga league leaders will be hoping to guarantee the extension of their stay at the top of the league table with a win against a Wolfsburg that is currently mid-table.

AZ Alkmaar vs Ajax (Dutch Eredivisie)
This AZ Alkmaar opportunity to tie things at the top of the Eredivisie standings with Ajax.
After suffering their first league defeat of the season in the last round of matches to Willem II, a defeat to AZ Alkmaar will see the two teams tied on 41 points at the top of the Eredivisie league table.

Lyon vs Rennes (French Ligue 1)
Lyon is making their way back into title contention.
They move above Rennes on the league table with a win.

Arsenal vs Manchester City (English Premier League)
Two teams that are not having the best moments.
How will things pan out when an Arsenal side in search of some confidence welcomes a Manchester City side that is low on confidence?

Fiorentina vs Inter Milan (Italian Serie A)
They might be out of Champions League contention but Inter Milan has a chance at the Scudetto.
Inter Milan will remain at the top of Serie A with an away win against Fiorentina.

Saint-Etienne vs Paris St. Germain (French Ligue 1)
The Ligue 1 record holder for the most titles will welcome the team that is looking to beat that record in the near future.

Valencia vs Real Madrid (Spanish La Liga)
To keep up with Barcelona at the top of the La Liga standings, Real Madrid will be required to get positive results from their trip to Valencia.

December 16, 2019
Cagliari vs Lazio (Serie A)
These two complete the current top four in the Serie A standings.
Lazio is within a win from Juventus; a position any team in Italy would like to be.
Cagliari will risk their 4th-place position if they fail to get a win at home against Lazio.
