Bayern Munich and Union Berlin remain the unbeaten teams in the German Bundesliga after 6 rounds but it is Union Berlin that is top of the league standings. Bayern Munich has now dropped points in their last three league matches: a 1-1 draw with Monchengladbach, a 1-1 draw with Union Berlin, and now a 2-2 draw with Stuttgart.

The best Monchengladbach could do after their first defeat of the season was get a point in a goalless draw with Freiburg. The result denied Freiburg from holding on to the top spot. Freiburg dropped a position down to 2nd place after they were held by Monchengladbach to a goalless home draw.
Replacing Domenico Tedesco seems to have paid off for RB Leipzig.
With just a win in five matches, RB Leipzig’s start to the season had been far from what was expected.
Marco Rose’s first game in charge of RB Leipzig was a success. RB Leipzig won 3-0 against a Dortmund side that had the most points in the league and was also in search of a third straight win since their shocking defeat to Werder Bremen.
The 3-0 loss to RB Leipzig dropped Dortmund three positions down to 5th. Willy Orban opened the scoring in the 6th minute.
Dominik Szoboszlai doubled the goals in the 45th minute to get RB Leipzig to the break with a 2-0 lead.
Dortmund came into the game with a 3-goal margin win in the Champions League, while RB Leipzig came with a 3-goal margin Champions League defeat.
Bayern Munich dropped points at home against Stuttgart. Serhou Guirassy scored in the second minute of the final added time to get Stuttgart a 2-2 draw in Munich.
Bayern Munich kept third place, and remain two points from the top of the league because Freiburg could not get the result to take advantage.
Hertha Berlin and Leverkusen shared the points in Berlin by evenly splitting 4 goals in the second half.
Union Berlin moved up three positions to the top of the German Bundesliga standings after 6 matches. An own-goal in the fourth minute was enough to get Union Berlin a 1-0 win at Cologne, after holding Bayern Munich to a point in the last round. FC Koln had been unbeaten till this defeat.
Augsburg got the maximum points in Bremen. Augsburg won their second league game of the season when Ermedin Demirovic’s goal ended up being the only goal between the team and Werder Bremen.
Bayern Munich, Hoffenheim, and Dortmund are on 12 points (each).
