GERMAN BUNDESLIGA
With Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund looking to finish the season as ‘top 2’, Union Berlin, RB Leipzig, and Freiburg are contending for the other two spots for Champions League qualifying positions in the standings. RB Leipzig and Freiburg picked up three points, while Union Berlin dropped two points in a draw with Bochum.

Six more rounds of the season to go and Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund remain as title hopefuls.

Two points remain between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in the title race after both teams dropped 2 points each. Bayern was in a ‘1-1’ draw at home with Hoffenheim, while Dortmund blew a lead on two occasions to leave Stuttgart with a ‘3-3’ draw.
Union Berlin played out a 1-1 draw with Bochum.
RB Leipzig was the only ‘top 4’ side to win their game this weekend.
Freiburg reached the 50-point mark to stay a point out of the Champions League qualifying spot with a win over Werder Bremen.


The relegation avoidance race is heating up.
Hertha Berlin fall to the bottom of the league after losing the opening match of the round against Schalke.
Stuttgart and Bochum helped themselves to a point against Dortmund and Union Berlin respectively.

Schalke is back to a win after 4 games without, while Hertha Berlin goes 6 games without a win. Marius Bulter scored two goals in Shalke’s 5-2 win over Hertha Berlin.

Andrej Kramaric’s freekick in the 71st got Hoffenheim a point in Munich.

A 10-man Stuttgart recovered from two goals down to even the score at 2-2, and got even again after going down a goal in the added minutes to deny Borussia Dortmund a win.

RB Leipzig win back-to-back win for RB Leipzig as a 3-1 first-half lead helped the to a 3-2 win over Augsburg.

Frankfurt avoided defeat at home when Kolo Muani’s goals got Frankfurt from a goal down to get a ‘1-1’ draw with Monchengladbach.

It is 6 matches without a win for Werder Bremen after allowing Freiburg to come from a goal down a win 2-1. The result allowed Freiburg to bounce back from last round’s defeat to Bayern Munich with a first league win in four matches.
Roland Sallai and Lucas Holer scored in quick succession to get Freiburg in the lead after Maximillian Philipp had put Werder Bremen in the lead in the first minute of the second half.

Kevin Stoger converted from the penalty spot in the 55th minute for Bochum to cancel the first-half lead that Josip Juranovic’s freekick goal in the third minute of the added time had given Union Berlin.
