Bayern reclaimed the top spot in the Bundesliga with a Der Klassiker win.
Dortmund dropped to second; trailing by 2 points in the title race.
Union Berlin remained in 3rd place as they joined the 50-point mark through a win over bottom-tabled Stuttgart.
Freiburg was held to a point by Hertha Berlin.
Leverkusen moved up a position to 7th after a 3-0 win over relegation-zoned Schalke.
Mainz moved up a position to 8th after a 3-0 win over ‘top four’ hopefuls RB Leipzig.
Wolfsburg dropped two positions down to 9th after a draw with Augsburg.

Hoffenheim moved three points away from the relegation playoff spot with a win over Werder Bremen.

RB Leipzig is in search of their first win since their Champions League elimination (7-0 against Manchester City). They followed a 1-0 defeat at Bochum with a 3-0 defeat at home to Mainz.
Mainz went 7 games unbeaten with 5 wins after a 3-0 victory at Leipzig.

The first league defeat for Shalke in 9 matches came at home in a 3-0 game with Leverkusen.
Bayer Leverkusen is now unbeaten in their last 8 matches – 5 league games with 4 league wins.

Consecutive league wins for Union Berlin after going 4 matches without one. Union Berlin followed a 2-0 win over Frankfurt with a 3-0 win over Stuttgart.

Maximilian Arnold scored an own goal in the opening two minutes of the match to give Augsburg a lead, missed a penalty to get an equalizing goal in the 21st minute, and saw Augburg double the lead about 10 minutes later through a goal from Mergim Berisha.
Fortunately, Wolfsburg made a late comeback to get a point.

Coming from a league defeat, losing the top spot, and making managerial changes.
Der Klassiker couldn’t have come at a better time for Bayern Munich.
Thomas Tuchel kicked off his managerial career at Bayern with a 4-2 Der Klassiker win.
The Bundesliga title has been with Bayern Munich since they took it from Dortmund in 2013.
Dortmund couldn’t stand the pressure. Three defensive errors in the opening 25 minutes had Bayern Munich leading 3-0 in the latest Der Klassiker. Bayern Munich used a 4-2 win to take the top spot away from Dortmund.
The score flatters Dortmund.

Hoffenheim got the bigger part of the three second-half goals to win consecutive league matches after going 14 league games without a win: 12 defeats. Andrej Kramaric and Christoph Baumgartner were the goal scorers in a 2-1 away win against Werder Bremen.
