Takuma Asano scored twice to give Bochum their first win of the season. Asano’s second goal restored Bochum’s lead and secured a 2-1 victory over Darmstadt.

It was a morale-saving result for Freiburg after two recent defeats (2-1 league defeat to Leverkusen and a 3-1 Pokal defeat to Paderborn). Freiburg took the lead in the 7th minute through Lucas Holer, but Monchengladbach scored twice before halftime to take a 3-1 lead. Frieburg found the goals in the second half to avoid defeat at home, with the equalizing goal coming from Vincenzo Grifo’s late penalty in the 96th minute

A 3-2 win in Hoffenheim keeps Leverkusen unbeaten and in their position on top of the Bundesliga standings. Alex Grimaldo’s second goal of the match restored Leverkusen’s lead after they had blown a 2-goal first-half lead in the opening 15 minutes of the second half.

A 2-0 league defeat at Mainz was the best RB Leipzig could do after their DFB-Pokal title defense was ended in a midweek defeat at Wolfsburg.
Union Berlin has lost their last 12 matches, including 8 league games. Omar Marmoush’s goals had Frankfurt 2-0 up in the opening 15 minutes as they went on to beat Union Berlin 3-0 in Berlin.

Dayot Upamecano scored the game-winning goal in the 4th minute, before Harry Kane went on to get his hat-trick for a 4-0 Der Klassiker win for Bayern in Dortmund. Both teams came into the game unbeaten, and Bayern Munich extended their run at Dortmund’s expense. Dortmund have not won a league game against Bayern since 2018/19 season. It is back-to-back leage hattricks for Harry Kane.

With a goal a piece in each half, Wolfsburg and Werder Bremen shared the points in a ‘2-2’ for both to bounce back from a league defeat in the last round, and add to their midweek successes in the DFB-Pokal.

Stuttgart seem to be missing the goals of their injured striker Serhou Guirassy.
Silas Mvumpa’s penalty miss in the 57th minute proved costly, as Stuttgart ended up losing ‘2-0’ to Heidenheim. This was Stuttgart’s second consecutive league defeat, after winning seven of their opening 8 games.
